High School Select
Our coaches for the High School Select team are Head Defensive Coach Max Drewett and Head Offensive Coach Bryan Wright. These fantastic coaches are well known for their impactful coaching styles and ability to mesh a team together for success.
Head Defensive Coach Max Drewett
Max graduated from Riverview High School and received one varsity letter where he was a four-year varsity starter and held every defensive record. He was voted captain his senior year and earned Lacrosse All-American and First-team All-District. He also played club for West Florida Lacrosse, Sarasota Seahawks.
Max received several colleges offers from different schools, but ultimately played 3 seasons at Division II University of Tampa as a defender. He has played in a total of 22 games throughout his career tallying a total of 11 ground balls and 7 caused turnovers. He currently coaches at Palms Lacrosse as the head defensive coach.
Head Offensive Coach Bryan Wright
Bryan played Division II lacrosse at the University of Tampa. During his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years, Bryan earned first-team all-conference. During his 5th year as a grad student, Bryan was voted preseason All-American. The impressive attacker was the leading goal scorer and Captain of his team 2 years in a row.
Bryan finished his career as 4th in points in UT history. The 4-year starter has 5 conference championships under his belt.
