Head Defensive Coach Emily Amell

Emily is a New York native and alumni of Division I Syracuse University where she played all 4 years of college lacrosse as a defender and midfielder. Originally being from the Syracuse area, Emily’s dream was always to play for the Orange. Her lacrosse career continued post-college as a coach around the Tampa, FL area including the girl’s varsity team at Berkley Preparatory School for a couple of seasons and local clinics.

This is Emily’s third year coaching with Palms Lacrosse and she’s excited for this upcoming season with a group of very talented ladies!

Head Offensive Coach Kaytie Shea

Coming from West Palm Beach, FL, Kaytie started playing lacrosse when she was 10 and never stopped! She loves the sport, the speed, the physical demands, and the team mentality.  Kaytie was captain of her high school team and made first-team all-county sophomore-senior year. 

Kaytie played at Florida Gulf Coast University for all four years of college. She loved leading the team, traveling for games, and playing with girls she had played against all her life.

Kaytie started coaching youth lacrosse in 2017. Since then, she has coached multiple club seasons, won multiple championships, and started a varsity team at St Pete Catholic High School in 2019. Still the head coach of SPC’s girl’s lacrosse team, Coach Kaytie took her team to win districts in 2022.

Her coaching style is a replica of this, as she truly emphasizes being kind on the field, representing not only yourself, but your club or school in a positive manner, and most importantly, having fun while doing it. She is so excited to start her fourth season with Palms and coach these girls into more championship wins.
